Security Officer

Responsibilities You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes: Protection of Property and Premises - Prevent unauthorised access and monitor CCTV, fire alarms, and intruder alarms. - Conduct internal and external security patrols. - Control site access and enforce parking restrictions. - Manage keys, access passes, and site security equipment. - Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports. - Handle lost property in line with site procedures. Health and Safety - Support staff, visitors, and contractors while maintaining a safe environment. - Ensure health and safety procedures are followed and report hazards or incidents. - Keep walkways and emergency exits clear at all times. - Report First Aid equipment shortages and site safety concerns. - Respond to emergencies and follow SOC instructions. - Investigate and report fire alarm activations. Ideally, you’ll have: Essential - Valid SIA Licence. - Full UK Driving Licence and access to transport. - Right to work in the UK. - Must be over 18 years of age. - Five-year checkable employment, education, and/or other documented history. - No current criminal convictions. - Strong communication and customer service skills. - Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team. - Willing to work days, nights, and weekend shifts. Desirable - Previous Security Officer experience. - First Aid qualification. - Ability to demonstrate the core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.
