Here, you’ll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities: - Strategic Legal Partnering: Provide commercially focused legal advice that supports Primark's omnichannel growth, influencing key business decisions across ecommerce, customer engagement, digital, logistics, and technology initiatives. - Lead Commercial Negotiations: Draft, negotiate, and conclude complex commercial agreements, partnering with stakeholders and external counsel to secure the best outcomes for the business. - Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build trusted relationships across teams including Technology, Digital, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and People & Culture to deliver practical legal solutions that enable business objectives. - Shape Business Decision-Making: Influence strategic and operational decisions by providing clear, risk-based legal guidance to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. - Strengthen Legal Operations & Capability: Support the development of a high-performing legal function by driving process improvements, promoting efficient ways of working, and contributing to team development and knowledge sharing. - Manage Risk & Regulatory Compliance: Monitor emerging legal and regulatory developments, collaborate with compliance teams and external advisers, and ensure legal risks are effectively managed to support Primark's expansion ambitions. What You’ll Bring Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular: - Strong Legal Expertise: Qualified lawyer with 7-10+ years' post-qualification experience gained within a leading law firm and/or a dynamic in-house legal environment. - Strategic Business Partnering Skills: Proven experience advising senior stakeholders on legal risk, business strategy, and complex transformation or operational change programmes. - Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial judgement with extensive experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on a broad range of complex commercial agreements. - Project & Programme Leadership: A track record of successfully supporting and coordinating large-scale projects, balancing legal, commercial, and operational priorities to drive successful outcomes. - Influencing & Relationship Building: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships, challenge constructively, and influence decision-making at all levels of an organisation. - Pragmatic & Solutions-Focused Approach: Able to navigate complex legal issues with confidence, develop practical legal strategies, and deliver clear, commercially focused advice in a fast-paced environment.
