Shawbrook is a specialist bank built to power ingenuity in financial services. We combine human expertise with smart technology to deliver tailored solutions, lending where the high street will not. We're rebuilding Retail Mortgages so decisions happen in real time on real data, and we're growing the product team to drive it.
We're hiring a Product Manager to own outcomes across the Retail Mortgages lifecycle. You'll define what good looks like for brokers, customers and underwriters, then work with engineering and data to get there. You'll move across the journey as priorities shift, and you'll be measured on the results you move, not the tickets you close.
Key Responsibilities
- Outcomes across the Retail Mortgages journey, spanning originations, decisioning, underwriting, offer and broker experience
- A broker experience that converts, working with intermediary partners and packagers to compress the time between application and offer
- Instant decisions, replacing manual assessment and rekeying with data pulled straight from source, and deciding where AI earns its place and where human judgement holds
- Faster, more consistent underwriting on complex specialist cases, including portfolio landlords, limited company BTL and non-standard income
- Regulatory outcomes, holding MCOB, Consumer Duty and affordability standards while the platform changes underneath
- The problem, not the solution, turning customer and operational insight into clear opportunities and evidenced bets
- Ecosystem decisions across sourcing systems, valuation providers and credit reference agencies, choosing what to build, buy and integrate
- Performance, using data to test whether the outcome landed and to decide what comes next
- Strong product management experience across the full lifecycle, from discovery through delivery
- Experience within finance is desirable
- Ability to simplify complexity and design customer-centred solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Comfortable using data to inform decisions and priorities
- A curious, collaborative, outcome-driven mindset
- A track record of using AI to improve journeys and ways of working
