Workshop Engineer

We're looking for a Workshop Engineer to join our Materials Testing team, preparing precision metal test samples used in a variety of engineering and industrial projects. This is a hands-on role where you'll work with machinery, tooling and materials to support critical testing activities. Full training can be provided for the right person. What You'll Be Doing - Operating workshop and machining equipment safely and effectively. - Preparing precision metal samples for testing. - Maintaining quality and traceability throughout the production process. - Supporting laboratory and engineering teams with technical requirements. - Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed timescales. - Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, quality and safety. - Contributing to continuous improvement and efficient workshop operations. This role could suit candidates from a wide range of backgrounds, including: Engineering or manufacturing, Production or assembly, CNC or machining environments, Automotive or vehicle maintenance, Mechanical fitting or fabrication, Welding and metalwork, or Construction trades.
